From behalf of the International Gas Union (IGU) we would like to turn your attention to the benefits of Natural Gas as the most environmentally friendly fossil fuel with the lowest CO2 emissions. This is also a good back up for renewables when wind is not blowing and sun is not shining!
We would like to mention that Russia, Canada, USA are already reducing their CO2 emissions by increasing share of Natural Gas in the energy mix. Poland is also willing to use more Natural Gas for energy production instead of coal.
We encourage countries to consider that Natural Gas should be included in UN climate change mitigation policies.
