Leading scientists claim that peak year 2015 is "unrealistic"

Chinese Delegate
After a milestone was set in the mitigation group this morning, an independent group of leading scientists
released a press statement today. The scientists believe that the agreement on 2015 as a peak year and the subsequent reduction of global greenhouse gas emissions by 80% until 2050 is "too ambitious". The press release claims: "Unless there is a nuclear war or another disastrous financial crisis, defining 2015 as peak year and reducing global greenhouse gas emissions by 80% by 2050 is completely unrealistic."

As a reaction to this statement, the delegation of China announced to provide a press release in the course of the afternoon, after clarifying their position with scientists.

Update will follow soon....
